A fictional brand, built by Maer Media as a brand-building template for India. Market observations are qualitative; every number on this page is a plan target, not a result.

01 · Market analysis

Guests book a feeling. Then they check the photos.

A twelve-cottage resort on a working coffee estate, built around the first three hours of the day: mist, an estate walk and coffee from the plants outside the door.

Signal 01

Short weekend trips from metros to hill destinations have grown, and Coorg sits within a drive of Bengaluru.

Signal 02

Discovery happens on Instagram and in friends’ stories; booking still drifts to OTAs, which take a high commission.

Signal 03

Most boutique resorts market the same things (pools, rooms, offers), so the photographs look interchangeable.

Signal 04

Guests increasingly message before they book. A slow reply on WhatsApp loses the booking to the next tab.

03 · Brand system

For people who never get to finish their coffee, Nilaya Hills is the hill resort built around the first three hours of the day.

The name

Nilaya means “home” or “abode” in Sanskrit. With “Hills”, it promises somewhere to belong for a few days, not just somewhere to sleep.

Type

A light, unhurried serif with generous spacing; mono for times of day.

Signature device

Three ridgelines at first light, used as mark, divider and loading state, with the time printed beside them.
